Iowa Falls is Famous for its concrete arc bridges

Iowa Falls is a city that is known for its historic concrete arch bridges, with three open spandrel arch bridges in town all listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The bridges are all magnificent when viewed from the top deck of the Empress!


All our guests are eligible to receive a complimentary cruise on the Empress. It is also a perfect venue for weddings, class and family reunions. Plus, the Empress features special music dinner cruises during the spring and summer. Ask the innkeeper for more information when you make your reservation for the cabin.

The Empress seats 44 for a sit-down dinner in the dining room. When going out just for a cruise, the room can accommodate 50 people .

These beautiful quilt blocks can be seen along the river shore.
